Paul is a member of the AusIMM (treasurer of the NZ Branch), the NZ Tunnelling Society, and the Institute of Directors. 

Principal Consultant of MS Mine Consulting with a degree in Mineral Technology (Mine Engineering) from the Otago School of Mines, Paul holds certificates of competence as a Site Senior Executive, First Class Mine Manager & A Grade Quarry Manager.

Paul has worked both in New Zealand and offshore, in open pit and underground mines in both metals and coal, and also in tunnelling and alluvial gold and is currently the Site Senior Executive for the Central Interceptor project in Auckland.
